Sam is our founding partner and the managing attorney. In addition to practicing law, you can typically find him handling all sorts of administrative tasks to keep our law firm running smoothly. With this background as a small business owner himself, Sam advises our clients with both smarts and heart. We understand where you’re coming from, because we’ve been there too.
Sam also has extensive experience working with nonprofits. He currently serves on several Boards of Directors, including A Reason to Survive (ARTS) and Space4Art.

Sam’s Non-Negotiables in Action:
Olivia is our co-founding partner and an attorney. In addition to practicing law, you can typically find her creating all of our marketing and educational materials, so that we can get the word out on important info our clients should know about. The daughter of two public school teachers, she is passionate about education and to her, that means increasing access to reliable, vetted legal knowledge. Because gatekeeping is lame.
She’s also an independently certified HR professional (SHRM-CP), which means she will not only help you with the legal, but also the practical side of being an employer.

Olivia’s Non-Negotiables in Action:
Charlie is our trusty paralegal. In addition to supporting our attorneys, you can find Charlie sorting through mail, on hold with government agencies searching for answers, or otherwise helping us with the more tedious tasks. They teach you in law school that an attorney is only as helpful as their paralegal is, and we can confirm that is indeed, a fact.
Charlie is also a commissioned notary public in the State of California. So fancy!
