Winking eye glasses

Question:

When do you need a privacy policy?

Answer:

You would want a privacy policy if you collect any personal information on your website. This is any information that is collected from your audience, customers, and clients. The information can be as simple as name and email, but includes anything that can be considered as personally identifiable information. If you collect these type of information, by law, you need to have a privacy policy on your website. Additionally if you’re selling goods or services through your website, you will want a clickwrap agreement. This is an agreement where people check a box to say that they’ve read the terms and agree to them before they purchase the good or service.

To sum it up, if you collect information, it’s good to have a privacy policy! As always if you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out to our team at bertie@inbetterwetrust.com.
